Walmart gave up doing layaway about 5-6 yrs ago. It takes a massive amount of space and manpower hours to make it work and it wasn't paying for itself. Last year they re-instated layaway for the Christmas season and only electronics, toys and jewelry. We began layaway again, a month earlier, this year. I believe I just saw a car being repossessed down in the parking lot. And that guy was slick. He was pulling his trow truck into the lot as I was walking from the dumpsters to the mailbox. Before I could open my box and walk back across the lot (about 3 minutes), he'd gotten in place, unlocked, started and backed up a little red sporty car (
